TEQIP
Dear viewers THIAGARAJAR COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING Conducting faculty development program. The World Bank supported Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP) is a long term programme, being implemented in three phases for a systemic transformation of the Technical Education System in India. In its second phase (TEQIP II), around 200 engineering institutions spread across India have been competitively selected to implement the project enabling the institutions to improve the quality of Technical education through institutional reforms.
OBJECTIVE OF TEQIP
To strengthen the institutions to improve learning outcomes and employability of Graduates.
ABOUT THE FDP
The objective of this faculty development program is to provide an exposure to faculty members handling the Computer Architecture course about the advancements starting from superscalar processors to the latest multi/many core processors and theemerging NoC architecture for multicore designs.This will also provide a basic platform for a faculty who is willing to carry out research in this area.
The topics of interest include:
- Multi/Many core processors
- Processors for Embedded systems
- Network on Chip(NoC) architectures
- Open source architecture simulators
- Intel System Studio tool
- Prof. John Jose, IIT Guwahati.
- Prof.P.Chitra, TCE
- Prof. K.Hariharan, TCE
Faculty - Rs.1500/-
PG Students /Research scholars: Rs.1000/-
Registration fee includes course kit, refreshments and working lunch.
TRAVEL AND ACCOMMODATION
Participants are requested to make their own arrangements for travel and accommodation. However, suggestions about suitable accommodation near the college could be made on request.
ELIGIBILITY
The FDP is open to Faculty members from all Engineering Colleges / Arts & Science Colleges / Universities handling courses related to Computer Architecture, Multicore Architectures and Parallel
Computing. PG students/ Research Scholars interested to pursue research in this area can also attend.

HOW TO APPLY
Applications duly filled in the prescribed format should reach the Coordinator on or before 15thJuly 2016 along with a Demand Draft drawn in favor of "THE PRINCIPAL, THIAGARAJAR COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING" payable at Madurai, towards the registration fee.
