OBJECTIVE OF THE PROGRAM

            Dear Viewers NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, TIRUCHIRAPPALLI Conducting Workshop.  A lot of technological innovations and advancements have taken place in the field of Water Resources and Coastal Engineering. So, it is high time to update the knowledge of the faculty and the research scholars working in the field of water resources and coastal engineering and this workshop aims at improving and bringing the application of simulation tools in Water Resources Engineering and Coastal Engineering.

          The main purpose of the program is to enlighten the faculty and research people with resources and opportunities necessary to improve their skills in teaching and research activities in the following research areas.

PROGRAM CONTENT
  •  To identify and explore the knowledge on soft computing applications in
  •  Coastal processes
  •  Storm water design
  •  Water supply distribution
  •  Aquifer mapping
  •  Flood mapping
  •  Flood Modeling
  •  Lineaments and fault identification using resistivity surveying
  •  Pipe leakage detection using GPR
  •  Water supply distribution network analysis
  •  QGIS applications in water resources Engineering
REGISTRATION FEE

Registration fee: Rs. 330/- per participant

The registration fee shall be paid by DD drawn in favour of The Director, NIT, Tiruchirappalli –
620015 payable at SBI, NITT Branch (Code -1617) and can be submitted in person on the first
day of the program. Participants will be provided free boarding and lodging. Participants who do not avail this facility will not be entitled to any rebate.

 HOW TO APPLY

Application for the program should be sent to the coordinator through post/e-mail as per the given
format.

NOTE:
  •  A copy of the DD drawn should be attached to the registration form. The details of the DD should be provided correctly in the registration form.
  •  The number of participants is restricted to 40.
  •  100% attendance is compulsory.
  •  The registration form should reach the address given below latest by 1 st September 2016.
  •  The list of selected candidates will be displayed in the Institute website (www.nitt.edu) and will also be informed through mail on 4 th September 2016.
