and use of motorized vehicles, for racing or non-racing competition. Motor sports includes a
wide variety of sports that involves the racing of engine powered vehicles in order to compete
against other drivers and pilots.

           The future of racing in developing markets lies in construction
of regional and national level tracks that lead the way in developing entry-level and national
standard racing in countries where the sport is new. International motor sports events are used
as a tool to generate media impact, as well as growth in tourism, business and employment.
The Motorsport industry is constantly evolving, as companies seek to gain an edge over their
competitors. All aspects of the industry have to reflect this as the key to success their vehicles.

          Dear Viewers NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY Conducting Workshop. Statistical physics develops methods to understand the bulk (measurable) properties of matter in terms of statistical description of the constituents namely, atoms, molecules, ions, electrons etc. Such a description immensely facilitates to uncover thermal, chemical, optical, electrical and magnetic properties of various materials. In the last few decades, this led to all the visible benefits around us through the advancements in solid state engineering and technology.

        The objectiveof the workshop is to emphasize the foundations of statistical descriptions matter to unravel the intriguing connection between microscopic and macroscopic scales of material. Simple models will be introduced to understand the complex phenomena like magnetism, phase transition etc. Future challenges in material science at nanoscale will be outlined.

             Dear Viewers PSG COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY Conducting  Faculty Development Program. The Internet of Things (IoT) has evolved from the convergence of wireless technologies, microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) and the Internet. By connecting ‘things’ in the real world such as cars, buildings and industrial equipment, IoT promises to revolutionize how we live and work.

           The IoT market is likely to experience around 28% year-on-year growth, rising to 5.4 billion connections across the globe by 2020, counting cellular, fixed line, satellite and short range wireless connections, up from 1.2 billion devices in the year 2014. This program aims at providing an opportunity for participants to enrich their knowledge and skill in developing various solutions for solving engineering problems in the society. This FDP serves as a platform for research scholars, faculty, engineers and students to interact on cuttingedge technologies in IoT.

TEQIP

           Dear viewers THIAGARAJAR COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING Conducting faculty development program. The World Bank supported Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP) is a long term programme, being implemented in three phases for a systemic transformation of the Technical Education System in India. In its second phase (TEQIP II), around 200 engineering institutions spread across India have been competitively selected to implement the project enabling the institutions to improve the quality of Technical education through institutional reforms.

OBJECTIVE OF TEQIP

To strengthen the institutions to improve learning outcomes and employability of Graduates.

ABOUT THE FDP

The objective of this faculty development program is to provide an exposure to faculty members handling the Computer Architecture course about the advancements starting from superscalar processors to the latest multi/many core processors and theemerging NoC architecture for multicore designs.This will also provide a basic platform for a faculty who is willing to carry out research in this area.

The topics of interest include:

•  Processors for Embedded systems
•  Network on Chip(NoC) architectures
•  Open source architecture simulators
•  Intel System Studio tool

applications.

Preamble:

Chemical Engineering problems are more often modeled with linear, nonlinear, ordinary
and partial differential equations.
Process Control emphasizes the importance of computers in this modern age of process
industries.

 MATLAB® is a well regarded software among science and engineering community.
Engineering problems represented by appropriate mathematics can be solved with MATLAB at
ease. Simulink is one of the GUI tools of MATLAB.

Course Contents: (please refer the detailed schedule as attached)

•  Mathematical models in Chemical Engineering
•  Basics of MATLAB, Simulink.
•  Review of Process Control
•  Solving typical Chemical Process Control problems with MATLAB, Simulink
