 MICROMACHINING

There is a growing demand for industrial products with increased number of functions and of reduced
dimensions. Micro-machining is the most basic technology for the production of such miniature parts and components.

 This short term course aimed at meeting these key issues related to miniaturization of products and manufacturing the same. This course further focuses on conventional processes as well as topnotch advanced micro-machining processes, water laser assisted micro etching and micro-texturing,diamond turning technology, FIB machining, thermoelectric machining process, abrasive based nano fnishing processes. It also takes into account micro and nano metrology systems.

 ABOUT THE COURSE

This workshop aims to provide hands on training on 3DPrinting like converting DICOM images to design and development of 3D model, Prosthetics ,Bionic arm, Dental models, Prototyping, 3D printing, 3D Modeling and Laser Cutting for Medical Applications.

COURSE CONTENTS

Topics to be covered:
  • Introduction to various 3D printing techniques.
  • Introduction and hands on 3D modeling techniques with open source softwares.
  • Hands on DICOM images to 3D modeling and 3D  printing for medical CT scans.
  • Hands on designing and 3D printing of  Prosthetics.
  • Introduction and hands on designing and 3D  printing of Bionic/ Robotic arm.
  • Introduction and hands designing and 3D  printing of Dental applications.
  • Prototyping of General 3D Modeling  applications.
  • Introduction and hands on Subtractive  manufacturing techniques like CNC milling and laser cutting
ELIGIBILITY

UG/PG students who wish to improve their knowledge in the field of 3D printing and its applications in medical field can attend this workshop.

REGISTRATION DETAILS

A maximum of 50 participants are permissible on first come first serve basis. The participants shall
pay the Registration Fee through a Demand Draft drawn in favor of “PSG CNCE”, payable at Coimbatore on or before 20.09.2017. The applicants shall send the filled up registration form

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

This workshop is best suited to beginners and persons working in Embedded System Design. After the workshop participants can come up with the projects for real time problems

  • Introduction to basic Embedded C and Simulation
  • Loading, Configuring and Simulating the Real time circuits
  • Interfacing external peripherals such as motor driver, keypad, LCD and project Development
  • Hands on training – using MPLAB IDE and Proteus tools for PIC Microcontroller
  • Writing Embedded C for ARM processor and simulation using Keil µV4
