PREAMBLE
Dear viewers KONGU ENGINEERING COLLEGE conducting workshop. This workshop will provide you with some of the computational techniques used by statistical researchers and practitioners beyond standard statistical software packages. The goal is to expand our statistical toolbox through computational and simulation methods. The objective of the workshop will involve a combination of theoretical methodological considerations, and practical computer programming in R.
PROGRAMME CONTENTS
- Bayesian Statistics, Markov chain Monte Carlo methods, ANOVA and regression
- Bayesian Inference
- Backward Simulation Methods for Monte Carlo Statistical Inference
- Markov random fields,conditional random fields.
- Learning and inference in Bayesian networks and MRFs
- Parameter estimation, Exact inference(variable elimination, belief propagation),
- Approximate inference (loopy belief propagation, sampling)
- R-package and Machine Learning Algorithms
- Computational Methods in Bayesian Statistics

Faculties, Students and Research Scholars from AICTE approved Engineering colleges, Polytechnics
